Alice Harberts has experience working with people age 5 and up. She is comfortable working with people who experience: Relationship problems; life stage adjustment problems; PTSD ; grief and loss issues, anxiety, mood disorders and serious, persistent psychiatric symptoms. She is trained at both Levels I and II in the practice of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR was named as a recommended treatment for PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder) in 2004 by both the Veteran’s Administration and the American Psychiatric Association. EMDR can also be used in building self esteem and performance enhancement. Alice is also an Advanced Wellness Recovery Educator through the Copeland Center for Wellness and Recovery. She presents material developed by Mary Ellen Copeland–Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP)–in individual therapy, group therapy and in training seminars nationally.
