Board Certified in Psychiatry, Addiction & Quality Assurance. Charles V. Wadle, D.O. has been practicing general psychiatry and addictions treatment since residency completion in 1985. After graduating from Drake University College of Pharmacy he attended what is now the University of Des Moines for medical school. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry, American Society of Addiction Medicine, American Board of Addiction Medicine, and American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians. He has practiced in a variety of public and private settings including Mental Health Centers, State Mental Health Institute, County Hospital, Eating Disorders Program, and Substance Abuse programs for children and adults. The establishment of private practice, Wadle and Associates, P.C., began in 1990. With the diverse clinical team, services are provided to all age groups. Dr. Wadle has extensive experience with detoxification for prescription and street drugs focusing on ambulatory detoxification protocols. Further, he has been involved with statewide implementation of mental health and substance abuse services since 1995 as the medical director for the Iowa Plan, managed by Magellan Health. He and his lifetime wife share eleven children together and multiple grandchildren.
