Susan Koehler, PA-C

Physician assistant Susan Koehler joined Wadle and Associates in March 2011, bringing with her over ten years of experience in psychiatry practice. She has treated children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of psychiatric illnesses in both clinic and hospital settings.

Your initial appointment with Susan at Wadle and Associates will include a thorough evaluation and specific treatment recommendations. Follow up appointments will monitor for therapeutic response and medication side effects, with goals of symptom remission, continued stability, and relapse prevention. Susan strives for diagnostic clarity, comprehensive treatment, and the careful use of appropriate medications.

Susan is a graduate of Des Moines University and the University of Minnesota. In addition to psychiatry, she has experience as a physician assistant in family practice, urgent care, hematology and oncology. In 2010, Gov. Culver appointed her to the Iowa Board of Physician Assistants. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Physician Assistant Society, is a clinical preceptor for physician assistant students from Des Moines University and the University of Iowa, and a member of the Test Item Writing Committee for the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
